GSM continues to reduce our Carbon Footprint

Having already achieved zero landfill as part of our programme of improved environmental responsibility, GSM Graphic Arts has employed EON to supply electricity exclusively from renewable sources.

“We are extremely proud to have achieved zero landfill and are happy to be working with EON to ensure the site only operates using ‘green electricity” said Paul Wright, General Manager.

“GSM Graphic Arts Ltd takes its responsibilities very seriously and in addition to waste reduction and supply initiatives, we recycle waste heat around the site to further reduce our carbon emissions. We are also mid way through a project to replace lighting on the site with LED’s and movement sensors, reducing not only electricity consumption, but also maintenance costs.”

In addition to its’ stringent waste reduction programme GSM Graphic Arts recycles all metal, chemical, plastic and general waste using environmentally conscious specialist contractors.

Environmental consideration is a major part in the decision making process for new plant and equipment, even company vehicles have a maximum allowable CO2 emission.

Paul added “GSM Graphic Arts has been in business for 40 years and we have a responsibility to our team members and the wider community to ensure we leave as little an environmental footprint as possible for the next 40 years”
