For over 50 years, GSM Graphic Arts has manufactured metal and plastic nameplates, graphic overlays, and labels at our factory in North Yorkshire. In these years, we have worked with a variety of companies from many different industries and provided solutions to the environmental challenges that each industry faces.

Whether your product is in an outdoor, offshore, marine, aviation, or medical environment, GSM can provide a solution. We produce control panels, warning signs, serial number plates, barcode labels, and metal plates bespoke so that they are suitable for the environments they are subjected to, meaning that we can provide the most durable solution for your company.

Manufacturing for Various Environments

Our commitment to provide industrial labelling solutions for all environments is evident in the various product and manufacturing methods we use. For a label that is situated outdoors, a durable plastic label is an option as we can reverse print the material, creating a physical barrier to the inks printed. However, it may not be suitable for an application within the oil and offshore market because quite often these requirements stipulate that a 316 stainless steel plate is required.

At GSM, we will work with you from the quoting stage to ensure we understand your application and any environmental factors, so we may offer and produce the most durable and hard-wearing label for your product.

Waterproof

Specific levels of water resistance depend upon where the label or nameplate is located. GSM can manufacture labels that are suitable to be submerged, but that are also land-based and pass salt mist spray tests.

Many products are located outdoors, and because of this, we have had our inks tested to ANSI specifications to ensure their UV durability for a minimum of 5 years.
