Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate film is an extremely durable and UV resistant material offering excellent clarity, high heat resistance and superior dimensional stability. It is suitable for both digital & silk-screen printing and can be embossed, die-cut, plot cut and formed. The Velvet textured and hard-coated variants are scratch resistant and durable making them an ideal choice for labels and graphic overlays.
Why Choose Polycarbonate Labels?
GSM can either silkscreen print or digitally print Polycarbonate film and digital printing will offer the advantage of being able to print CMYK colours, half-tones and variable data including barcodes, QR codes and serial numbers within the label graphics.
Polycarbonate film is stocked in a range of thicknesses ranging from 0.125mm to 1mm. We can die-cut, plot-cut or laser cut the Polycarbonate and for the better finish cut edge would recommend thicknesses up to 0.5mm.
Our Polycarbonate labels and overlays have been UV tested for durability, according to ANSI B71.4 for decal durability, so can guarantee that the Polycarbonate won’t discolour or fade within a minimum of 5 years, providing an excellent outdoor labelling solution.
Velvet textured Polycarbonate offers excellent durability against marks and scratches as do the hard-coat Martec HP-XXX Polycarbonates which are available in a range of gloss levels from anti-glare to a high gloss finish. These options will ensure that your product labels are durable and hard wearing, resiliant to everyday knocks and bumps.
Standard velvet Polycarbonate offers a UL94 HB flammability rating whereas Lexan FR60 Polycarbonate, gloss finish or Lexan FR65 Polycarbonate, textured finish, both have a UL94 V-0 listing.
