Kellie’s Fundraising Takes Flight

We have previously written about our team member Kellie Harvey, whose enthusiasm, kindness and determination have made her a familiar name when it comes to local fundraising. Kellie is a keen supporter of Yorkshire Air Ambulance, as well as other charities, and over the years she has found all sorts of creative ways to bring people together in support of good causes.
Kellie has been raising funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance for several years and has now raised over £20,000 through the many events she has organised. That is an incredible achievement, and one that reflects not only the generosity of everyone who has supported her, but also the time, effort and energy Kellie puts into making each event a success. Behind every ticket sold, prize donated and pound raised is a great deal of planning, encouragement and commitment. 
Recently, Kellie donated to the charity which resulted in her name being added to one of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters. It is a lovely reminder of the difference one person can make when they are passionate about helping others.
Over the years, Kellie’s fundraising has taken many different forms. She has hosted wine tastings, upcycling events, tombola’s, a car treasure hunt, Halloween parties and an infamous auction which, on its own, raised over £8,000. Each event has had its own character, but they all share the same ingredients: plenty of fun, a strong sense of community and a very worthwhile cause at the centre of it all.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides a vital service across the region, helping people when urgent medical care is needed quickly. It is the sort of charity that many of us hope we will never need, but one we are extremely grateful exists when every second matters. The service relies heavily on public support, which makes community fundraising such as Kellie’s so important.
What makes Kellie’s efforts especially inspiring is the way she encourages others to get involved. Her events are not just about raising money; they are about creating enjoyable moments, bringing people together and giving everyone the chance to contribute in their own way. Whether someone buys a raffle ticket, donates a prize, attends an event or simply helps spread the word, every act of support becomes part of something much bigger.
