Positive Progression

Our latest team member to celebrate is our Quality Technician, Patrick.

Patrick joined GSM Graphic Arts in early 2023 as a CNC operator. In his time operating our metal punching machine, Patrick streamlined the scheduling of workload in this department encouraging a new method for prioritising cutting jobs whilst also becoming a dab hand at repairing the machine so that it runs at maximum efficiency.

Whilst working in this department, Patricks attention to detail was realised as he took much care over the labels he was punching and which materials needed specialist treatment to ensure maximum output.

This level of commitment to quality saw Patrick progress to Quality Technician in 2024 to work in our Quality Assurance department where he has continued to demonstrate incredible attention to detail.

In our quality department, Patrick has increased his knowledge of all material and processes that we work with at GSM to enable him to effectively assess quality cases. Learning the application of labels in many different industries has been important. From marine to audio products Patrick understands what our customers require in these environments and the process of effectively manufacturing them. Alongside this there is the audit trails and compliance documents relevant to the automotive and aerospace companies that we work with.

Part of his new role is also ensuring that GSM remains compliant with industry standards and internal and external auditors. A large part of this is effectively communicated verbally, visually and in writing so that customers, auditors and employees have the best understanding from Patrick.

We are sure that Patrick will continue to thrive here at GSM Graphic Arts as he is enthusiastic as ever about the quality of the labels, nameplates and graphic overlays we manufacture.
