What Are Stainless Steel Nameplates & What Are They Used For?

Nameplates are used for their product identification, labelling, branding and asset management. When manufactured with stainless steel, they are highly resistant to corrosion, abrasion and extreme temperature. This makes them ideal for application across demanding environments including marine, oil and gas, transport and aerospace.

State-of-the-art Etching Processes, Materials & Finishes for a High-performance, Eye-catching Solution

During the etching process, areas on a stainless steel sheet not masked by a ‘resist’ are removed through use of chemicals. This can then be infilled with colour and ‘baked’.

This method produces hard-wearing nameplates exceptionally suited for use in harsh, challenging environments.

These labels can be produced with either 304 or 316 stainless steel, offering resilience to abrasion, scratches, extremes of temperature, adverse weather, salt spray and even solvents. 316 contains molybdenum — by reducing the intensity of the oxidising, this provides enhanced corrosion resistance.

Not only is stainless steel durable, but aesthetically pleasing and reflective of a quality product. For a visually-attractive finish, we offer various surface finishes including brushed, bright and satin.

We are able to produce products of any size and shape to suit your requirements, housing a design created with pinpoint precision and accuracy. These can be supplied with a suitable self-adhesive, with fixing holes or both.
