GSM Graphic Arts’ employees have been collecting food and essentials for a local food bank. This week we dropped off our latest donation to Community Works.

“Community Works supports people in need across Thirsk and the surrounding area.” A part of this is to operate a local food bank that collects and distributes food to help people in need. The charity relies on its amazing volunteers and the generosity of the public’s donations.

We were surprised to hear that in Thirsk there is up to 40 families that use this service each month. There were shelves full of food and essential items such as nappies and toilet rolls but we were advised that this was to last the food bank a whole year.

Shocked by what we have seen and heard we will continue to collect for the food bank after receiving an up-to-date list of items they need desperately.
