GSM’s Fundraising Champion

Our Maintenance Engineer, Seb, has started the year planning ahead all the fundraising challenges that he is going to partake in 2024.

Last year, we reported from the Nidderdale walk where Seb took on a 14 mile walk and joined our Accounts team in raising funds and awareness for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Since then, Seb has trained hard and worked on his passion for ‘tabbing’.

“Tabbing is a military term – short for “Tactical Advance to Battle – that combines walking, jogging, and running over various terrains while carrying heavy loads, often in full combat gear.”

Quite fittingly, in March Seb undertook a 10 mile ‘tab’ in aid of the Combat Stress charity which helps the mental health and wellbeing of former service personnel.

After completing this, Seb has now added to his list of adventurous fundraising activities to complete this year. These will include the Whitby Whalebone walk, Paras 10 Tab and an extended version of the Nidderdale walk. Good luck Seb!
