Brass Nameplate

News

After over 40 years of manufacturing, GSM Graphic Arts continues to supply customers with top of the range brass nameplates.

Over this time applications may have changed however the desire for a sophisticated brass nameplate has not. Companies use brass name plates for a variety of applications and they are a popular choice for data plates comprising of blank areas for customers to apply and infill with their own variable data.

The most common process for brass nameplates is to etch and fill them which is where we print a chemical resist to the surface areas of the plate that do not have detail to be added. We then immerse the plate into an acid solution which etches away the areas of the unprotected substrate. We can then fill the reacted ‘etched’ area with enamel paint to produce bold, colourful detail.

Due to our in-house computerised screen manufacturing we are able to print with the finest of detail which enables us to produce intricate and detailed brass name plates.
