Durable labels can be made to meet a variety of specifications, so whether you are looking for a label that is durable enough to stand up to the harsh environment presented by the marine industry or would simply like a heavy-duty label for your warehouse, we can cater for this.
Durable labels can be split into three distinct products, and each comes best suited to a variety of applications:
Heavy Duty Durable Labels
It’s fair to say that the vast majority of durable labels required need to be heavy-duty in today’s market. Utilising our anodising process to manufacture this specific type of label, you can rest assured that your label will stand the test of time.
With the process ensuring that ink is sealed beneath an anodic layer, the label will be scratch-resistant and boast all the properties of a heavy-duty durable label.
Plastic Durable Labels
Of course, some clients will not require durable labels that are required to withstand extreme conditions – but this doesn’t mean that they should need to compromise on the overall durability and aesthetic appeal of the label.
Plastic durable labels are a fantastic alternative to more heavy-duty labelling options, and utilise a digital printing process to achieve a clearly legible label that can be used in a whole host of settings. To ensure that the print is completely protected, the plastic is under-surface printed so the detail is protected by the material, this ensures that your label cannot be edited or tampered with in any way.
Industrial Strength Durable Labels
If heavy-duty, durable labels don’t quite cut it for your requirements, you may be best suited opting for industrial-strength durable labels. Utilising either 304 stainless steel or 316 stainless steel, depending on exactly where your labels will be mounted, a chemical stainless steel etching process will be used to achieve an optimal finish to your label.
You will often find this particular type of label used throughout the oil & gas industry thanks to its robust properties and clearly legible label face.
When it comes to security labels, GSM Graphic Arts offer a range that can help to ensure that your products are completely protected from tampering and keep their unique identification.
Depending on your requirements, you could well find yourself looking for either tamperproof labels, void labels or even holographic labels, so it’s vital that you contact a manufacturer who is capable of producing all forms of security labels that you may require.
Security labels can come in a whole host of label forms; for example, tamperproof labels can be supplied in rolls or on sheets depending on your requirements. All security labels are also able to be printed with your logo and a sequential serial number or barcode.
When it comes to security labels, it’s also well worth noting that the material used within the label must be extremely difficult to remove and once stuck down, it must retain its integrity. By utilising destruct vinyl, a self-adhesive material, the security label will be more than capable of withstanding the usual wear and tear associated with transporting packages.
Underwater labels are predominantly used in the oil & gas and marine industries thanks to their water-resistant properties. Depending on the final application of the underwater label, they can be printed upon using under surface digital, or silkscreen printing techniques to ensure that ink remains completely protected by the polycarbonate substrate.
To ensure that underwater labels maintain structural integrity for a long period of time, etched 316 stainless steel nameplates are usually utilised as the base material for underwater labels. Underwater labels are fitted onto a whole host of life-saving equipment used on boats, helicopters and oil rigs.
At GSM Graphic Arts, we take great pride in ensuring that all of our labels for outdoor applications have been tested in line with the requirements of ANSI B71.4, this means that each label is guaranteed to retain colour stability for a minimum of 5 years. Along with this all of our anodised aluminium labels have had extensive salt mist testing carried out on them, this ensures that they are capable of withstanding the harshest of outdoor environments.
