GSM Supports Local Schools

For the last 3 years, GSM Group have been supporting The Richard Shephard Music Foundation, which provides weekly music teachers in primary schools across North Yorkshire.

This means that thousands of children across the region are getting more music in school.

“Having regular music lessons from a young age has been proven to help brain development, make children happier, help broaden their horizons, and build confidence and creativity.” said Cathy from the Foundation. “And with school budgets tight, any help from organisations and charities will make sure children in our region don’t miss out.”

“We’re aiming to be delivering weekly music lessons to 10,000 local children by 2026 and the support from GSM has been absolutely vital to this growth. They saw the potential to make sure the region’s children are getting the very best opportunities and it’s been a great partnership.”
