Great North Run Success
Last Sunday our Group CEO Paul Wright and New Business Account Manager Catherine took on the challenging Great North Run for Saint Michaels Hospice and Herriot Hospice, both part of the North Yorkshire Hospice Care.
Having battled a summer of injuries, the morning of the run arrived, and Paul and Catherine felt a mix of nerves and excitement.
Approximately, 30,000 steps, copious amounts of jellybeans and an abundance of high 5’s from spectators they reached the finish line in just over 2.21 hours, 30 seconds behind Joe Wicks, exercise guru.
Between them, Paul and Catherine have raised more than £1100 towards the charities which makes the blisters and sore knees worthwhile.
Both charities help terminally ill people and their families in the final weeks/months of their lives. The GSM Group has supported the Herriot Hospice @The Lambert with the creation of the rooms used for their Just ‘B’ bereavement service. At GSM Graphic Arts we have also manufactured signage and door plates (pictured) for the premises.
